Sheffield was awash with swagger. Stone Island, CVP Company, Pretty Green and Bucket Hats almost outnumbered the merch stand t-shirts that were flying off the. counter as people queued to secure an affordable piece of history.

Their was a swagger of the middle aged men back in their element for the second time round in thirty years, but this time, showing the ropes to their children who were aptly dressed and shared the same look as their role models.

As a massive Liam fan, I’d arrived early to take in the atmosphere, donning my old stone island coat and putting ump with the fact that it was a hot day and I was sweating my arse off in 5 minutes. It was going to be a hot night of Liam Gallagher Photography.

I’d already been to the press pit twice, with the other photographers, shooting Liam Gallagher’s son, Gene with his band Villanelle and Cast, who seriously warmed up the crowd.

At 8.45pm, after what seemed like a long wait,  Headed down to the stage, anticipating what positions I’d ben moving to and from to try and get the best Liam Gallagher Photography.

It was an important concert. Definitely Maybe was 30 years old. The definitive Oasis Album was back and the only thing missing was Noel Gallagher. I’ve never understood why they didn’t put their differences to bed and get back together for the millions of fans out there. It’s what every Oasis fan wanted.

A massive digital clock was counting down the years from 2024, creating a palpable sense of anticipation.

The stage was an impressive recreation of the “Definitely Maybe” album cover, complete with a giant floating globe, flamingos, and a portrait of Burt Bacharach.

It was a visual spectacle that perfectly set the tone for the evening.

As the arena filled with 12,500 fans, the excitement reached fever pitch.

Fortunately it wasn’t late enough for fever piss… Although I had to laugh that the live camera feed operator, put on a waterproof jacket and hood before the concert started. anticipating a wet evening of liquid throwing that seemed to be the done thing.

When the clock finally hit 1994, the lights instantly dimmed, the band started up and Liam Gallagher walked out onto the stage wearing his coat done up to the collar and launched into “Rock ’n’ Roll Star.” It was an awesome moment.

The crowds behind me erupted, and despite some pretty questionable lighting, I hit the high speed shooting mode because we only had one song to secure as much Liam Gallagher Photography as possible before we were kicked out of the pit.

Yes, just the one song, no flash and not the usual three. But I didn’t care. I was there, up close and watching a piece of history unfold through the viewfinder.

I’d waited a long while, years in fact…  for the chance to get my hands on some  Liam Gallagher photography and doing so on the first night of the tour made it incredibly special.

Blanc Creative Liam Gallagher Photography Makes the Monday News

It’s always great when a press photographer sees their work has made it to the tabloids.

I scoured the internet on Sunday and was surprised at how little coverage the concert had achieved for such a landmark anniversary tour.

On Monday, a colleague dropped me a message to say that I’d made the Daily Record, a Scottish national tabloid newspaper based in Glasgow.

There’s always a little feeling of contentment when you see your images have the approval of the tabloids, so I was ‘Definitely’ happy to have attended and ‘Maybe’ getting a chance to shoot another date on the tour next week.
