Capturing Adam Ant: The Legend Returns
Let’s talk about Adam Ant. Back in April 2015, I had the pleasure of photographing the man himself as he brought Dirk Wears White Sox to life at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
And trust me, it was something special. This wasn’t just another gig—it was a full-blown celebration of the album that put Adam Ant on the map.
Dirk Wears White Sox first dropped in 1979, and it was nothing like what anyone else was doing at the time. It was raw, stripped-back post-punk with a weird, wonderful art rock twist.
Tracks like Cartrouble (Parts 1 & 2) and Cleopatra still hit hard decades later, and seeing Adam Ant smash through them live, with the crowd hanging on every word, was pure magic.
I was there, camera in hand, shooting for Blanc Creative. And the energy? Unbelievable. Adam Ant is one of those performers who just owns the stage. Even after all these years, he knows exactly how to work a crowd. The fans at Hammersmith Apollo weren’t just there for nostalgia; they were there because Adam Ant still delivers.
And now, he’s heading out on tour again. After that big 2024 gig, he’s gearing up for the ‘Antmusic’ 2025 UK Tour—one that nearly didn’t happen thanks to some health setbacks. But he’s bounced back and added even more dates to meet demand.

The tour kicks off on October 23, 2025, at the Bournemouth Pavilion and rolls through Cardiff, Glasgow, Gateshead, and other major cities before wrapping up in London at the Eventim Apollo on November 7, 2025.
Adam Ant himself has said he’s feeling “fine and dandy” and ready to get back to doing what he loves—performing live. He’s got that same fire in him, and he’s promising a setlist packed with classics like Stand and Deliver, Goody Two Shoes, Dog Eat Dog, and, of course, Antmusic.
For anyone who’s been following Adam Ant’s career, this tour is a must-see. He’s got that rare blend of staying power and creative drive that keeps fans coming back for more. And from a photographer’s perspective, it’s an absolute gift. The man is a showman through and through—every gesture, every expression, made for the camera.
Getting the chance to capture moments like that is why I do what I do. And it’s why fans are snapping up tickets faster than ever. If you’re planning to go, don’t hang around—grab those tickets before they’re gone.
From a photography standpoint, I can’t wait to see what he brings to the stage this time around. It’s not just about the hits; it’s about the experience, the atmosphere, and the fact that Adam Ant still has it in spades. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just discovering his music, you’re in for a hell of a show.
And if you’re like me, with a camera ready to capture the magic, it’s going to be one for the books.
