Manic Street Preachers Concert. A design for Life!
The Manic Street Preachers hit Audley End House with the kind of set that proves why they’re still relevant decades on. From the pit, it was all about controlled energy—Bradfield’s guitar tone cutting sharp against the summer air, Wire prowling the stage, and Sean Moore keeping everything tight from the back. The setlist pulled no punches, moving from early classics to later anthems without the filler you sometimes get at heritage gigs. The crowd knew every word, and the band played like they still had something to prove.
Photographing the show was a treat—perfect golden-hour light fading into a deep blue night sky, the historic backdrop giving the stage a gritty contrast rather than a postcard feel.
Lighting was clean and bold, making every frame pop without drowning the band in effects. No gimmicks, no over-production—just a solid, confident performance from a band who clearly still enjoy being on stage together. The Manic Street Preachers delivered, simple as that.
