James in Concert – Don’t sit down!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the iconic band James at Thetford Forest in 2025 as part of the Forest Live concert series, and what a night it was.
Set deep within the pines at High Lodge, the atmosphere was something special as James delivered a powerful, emotionally charged performance to a packed, multi-generational crowd.

From the opening moments, the connection between band and audience was unmistakable — hands in the air, voices singing every word back, and that unmistakable sense of shared experience that only live music in a forest can bring.
With a career spanning more than four decades, James continue to prove why they remain one of Britain’s most loved live bands.

Their set flowed effortlessly through classic anthems and deeper cuts, all delivered with warmth, authenticity, and that unmistakable James energy. Tim Booth’s presence was magnetic — expressive, honest, and completely at home beneath the trees and as he headed out deep into the audience.
As a Norwich Music Photographer and Forest Live Photographer, this marked my 13th year capturing shows at Thetford Forest, and nights like this are exactly why it never gets old.

Photographing a band like James in such a unique setting is a genuine privilege, and this performance stands out as one of the most uplifting shows I documented in 2025.
