Forestry England has launched an exciting new series of Pedal and Play tracks across a number of their forest sites – and if you’re looking for family fun that gets everyone outdoors and moving, this ticks all the boxes.

One of the most talked-about additions is at Thetford Forest’s High Lodge, a much-loved spot in Norfolk known for its beautiful woodland walks, cycling trails and outdoor adventure.

These new tracks are all about encouraging young riders to gain confidence, explore nature, and most importantly – have fun.

Pedal and Play officially opened Wednesday 9 April 2025 and the track includes

– Four green graded cycle loops
– Progressive blue graded opt-ins
– Almost 2km of new offroad cycle track

Designed to be interactive and accessible, the Pedal and Play concept combines gentle cycling with imaginative play areas, giving children a new reason to get on their bikes.

For Forestry England, launching Pedal and Play was more than just installing a few cycling routes.

It was about building excitement and reaching families and outdoor enthusiasts through multiple channels. That’s where we came in.

At Blanc Creative, we were proud to support the Pedal and Play launch at High Lodge by producing a full suite of creative content.

Our team covered PR photography, Drone footage, and a Promotional PR video that could be rolled out across Forestry England’s social media, press materials, and wider marketing campaigns.

Why High-Quality PR Photography is Worth the Investment

With so much competition out there, grabbing someone’s attention is no easy feat.

The average social media user scrolls fast – so your content needs to stop them in their tracks. That’s exactly what professionally shot PR photography does.

We spent the day on site at Thetford capturing striking images of children and families enjoying the new tracks, with plenty of natural energy and real reactions.

These images weren’t just pretty pictures – they were storytelling tools. Each photograph helps bring the Pedal and Play concept to life, whether used in a press release, on Forestry England’s website, or across their social platforms.

Great PR photography doesn’t just show what happened – it creates emotion, connection and interest. It encourages people to visit, to share, and to engage with your brand.

It’s a one-off investment with long-term marketing value. See the bigger picture with stunning Norfolk Drone Footage

Drone footage has become a game-changer in promotional content, especially for outdoor attractions.

With High Lodge being such a vast and visually striking location, we knew drone visuals would elevate the Pedal and Playcampaign – quite literally.

From above, we captured the layout of the track and the flow of people riding through it, showing the scale and integration of the route into the wider forest landscape.

This kind of footage gives viewers a sense of place that standard video just can’t match.

And it’s incredibly versatile – Forestry England can now use this content for seasonal promotions, visitor guides, or even investment pitches for future development.

PR Video That Tells the Story

We also created a short promotional video, which blends on-the-ground footage with aerial drone shots and real voices from the event. It’s an authentic snapshot of what visitors can expect at Pedal and Play – real families enjoying a great day out.

Video content is proven to have more reach and engagement on social media compared to static images, and platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok prioritise video in their algorithms. So, a well-made promotional film can get more eyes on your attraction, more shares, and more potential visitors.

Why Work with a Professional Visual Content Team?

At Blanc Creative, we’ve spent over a decade helping clients turn their stories into visual content that works. From national brands to local businesses, we bring experience, creative direction, and high-end production to every project we take on.

We don’t just turn up with a camera. We plan ahead. We understand your objectives. We shoot with a purpose – so you’re left with a bank of visual assets that can be used across multiple platforms and campaigns.

Investing in professional photography and video isn’t just about making your project look good. It’s about giving it the exposure it deserves. In the case of Pedal and Play, Forestry England now has a strong catalogue of content to support this campaign not just at High Lodge, but across all locations where these tracks are being introduced.

One of the most overlooked benefits of working with a professional media team is longevity. The images and video captured at the Pedal and Play launch can be reused for months – even years – to come.

They’ll support everything from seasonal campaigns and social content, to press packs and funding proposals. And let’s not forget – your audience can tell the difference.

Whether it’s a parent deciding where to take the kids this weekend, or a potential partner looking at how you present your brand, polished, high-quality content builds trust.
