Shooting The Libertines Photography at their biggest ever gig
As a huge Libertines fan and a photographer, getting the chance to shoot their biggest London gig ever at the O2 Arena was a dream come true. I was in the pit for the first three songs, and then I got to enjoy the rest of the show from the arena. It was an unforgettable night, to say the least.
It’s hard to believe, but there was a time when the only way to catch The Libertines live was to hunt them down at whatever dingy pub they were playing that week.
Things have changed quite a bit since those days. Despite their chaotic nature and the wild stories that often surround them, The Libertines came back strong with a solid third album and some truly memorable performances. And of course documenting the evening with The Libertines Photography doesn’t get much better than in one of music’s most prestigious venues.
Last night’s show at the O2 Arena in London was a prime example. The band played to a packed house, marking their biggest UK headline gig to date.
